Presentation to Child Care Board

Annually, Republic Bank spreads Christmas cheer through contributions to children’s homes and less fortunate persons in communities across the island. Over the last decade under the aegis of the Bank’s corporate social responsibility programme the Power to Make a Difference, Republic Bank has distributed Christmas presents and hampers of food and toiletries to Stirling, Farrs, Campwood and Haynesville children’s homes as well as families identified by social services.

This year, staff were invited to donate gifts and food items for children 0-18 years old. The response was outstanding. The several sacks filled were presented to the Child Care Board for distribution in a presentation held at Republic Bank Broad Street.

The items were presented by Solange Bruce, Customer Service Manager designate, Limegrove Branch who had coordinated the programme during her tenure as Assistant Manager, Marketing and Corporate Communications. The presentation was attended by the bank’s Managing Director and CEO Ian De Souza, General Manager Retail Banking Susan Torry, General Manager Operations (ag) Sharon Zephirin and Manager Retail Services Steven Jordan as well as other heads of departments and staff who contributed to the project.
